The position and key accountabilities

As a member of the College Leadership Team, the Leader of Wellbeing shares responsibility for the wellbeing of students and staff. Other responsibilities include:

  • Reinforcing adherence to the “whole school practices”, regarding uniform, detentions, learning preparation, behaviour management, awards, student progress, event attendance and travel to and from the college

  • Effective communication with teachers regarding staff meetings, case management meetings and preparation/feedback in relation to parent/student meetings 

  • Effective communication with parents regarding student progress/behaviour 

  • Effective communication with students regarding their progress/behaviour 

  • Precise record keeping 

  • Reinforcement of the “student management policy”

  • Assistance with the renewal of policy on an annual basis

  • Promoting the use of the CSPD Student Wellbeing Framework 

  • Supporting teachers through student management issues and positive behaviours for learning

  • Providing opportunities for year groups to connect with the mission of the college
