Diversity Teacher
As an experienced and exceptional classroom practitioner (Primary or Secondary trained), you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with diverse learning needs. You will support identified students specifically in Years 7-9 within an individual and group context.
The successful applicant will demonstrate;
highly developed interpersonal skills with an ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with parents, students and staff with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
exemplary classroom practice, utilising a range of effective pedagogies whilst using current research and data analysis to improve classroom practice and assist teachers when needed.
proven capacity to differentiate the curriculum for a diverse range of abilities
ability to set effective learning goals with students
high levels of organisation and time management skills
ensure that accurate and comprehensive information is available to all staff about students with additional needs in a timely and easily accessible manner
develop and record Personalised Plans (PPs) and participate in the NCCD Moderation process
Provide support to students with disabilities and learning difficulties, both in class and in small groups, across various subjects, including intervention programs.

a willingness to engage with research-based intervention strategies in a variety of learning environments
tracking student progress in literacy and numeracy with data, in order to work with teachers to develop their understanding of diverse learning needs.

an understanding of personalised planning for students with disability.
