About the Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and innovative educator to join our Learning Outcomes Directorate as an Education Officer for the Teacher Professional Learning Experience (TPLX) team. This role is dedicated to enhancing teacher professional learning across our diocese. You will be instrumental in developing and delivering evidence-based programs that strengthen teaching practice and, ultimately, improve student learning outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  •  Support the system-wide implementation of teacher professional learning initiatives, integrating research and data to meet the needs of our schools.
  • Collaborate on the design and delivery of engaging professional learning content and programs for teachers at all career stages, with a strong focus on curriculum knowledge and pedagogical practice.
  • Utilise your expertise to design and facilitate exceptional online professional learning experiences, leveraging innovative digital tools to build teacher capacity.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with school leaders, teachers, internal teams, and external partners to ensure a cohesive approach to professional development.
  • Oversee the administration of centralised documentation, resources, and policies to ensure consistency and compliance across all professional learning initiatives.

 

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will be a forward-thinking educator with a passion for professional learning and a deep understanding of what constitutes effective teaching. You will possess:

  • Proven experience in designing and delivering high-quality professional learning for teachers.
  • A strong understanding of evidence-based pedagogy and curriculum.
  • Demonstrated expertise in creating engaging online learning experiences and utilising digital technologies.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong organisational and administrative capabilities.
  • A commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Education.
